Is it actually possible to open a paypal account that allows you to receive money not just using it to make purchases?

Well if you live in Zimbabwe you can not receive money to your paypal account. How it should work is you receive money via paypal and collect the money in your bank. The process does not work. most people are waiting for that to happen. however most people use their friends or relative paypal accounts who are based in the diaspora and they send the money via world remit or western union.
