One of my favourite statements in marketing is: “Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing, but nobody else does”. Now more than ever, it is important to advertise your business, but more so, to advertise online. With the pandemic not seeming to go anyway, more and more people are shopping online and more and more people are spending time online. If you don`t start advertising online now, you will be the only one knowing what you are doing and no one else. In this article I am going to give you 3 ways in which you can effectively advertise your online or offline business online no matter what you are into.
Social Media Marketing
Social media marketing is broad, in this article I will just focus on Facebook marketing, which you should use in conjunction with other social media platforms. Did you know that Facebook has roughly 2, 89 billion users? About 1, 8 billion of them are on Facebook groups where they interact with their clients. Facebook allows businesses to create a Facebook business page, which allows them to target their specific audiences. Through paid advertisements you can reach thousands of your clients around the world in the specific places you want to reach. Facebook places your advert right in front of the people you want to reach out to. Why should you not do business on the platform were most of your clients can be found? The good news is that you can easily link your Facebook ads to your Instagram Business account.
Think of your website as your shop. If people walk into your physical shop what would they find there? Your website shows that you are serious about your business. Having it shows that you are serious about your business and the way it looks shows that you are serious about giving value to your clients. One of the campaigns you may carry out on a Facebook advert is driving traffic to your website, so you want to make sure that your site is solid and is easy to navigate.
Email Marketing is still “King”. It maybe old fashioned but it brings in modern results. It Still brings more value and hence more sales, which is equals to revenue. Email marketing helps you to have a more intimate relationship with your clients , because you are speaking to them directly in their inboxes. You are also addressing them by name and you can directly address their concerns. You can also remarket old products or launch news ones. There are so many types of emails which can be used for marketing purposes .We will talk in depth about this in another article. So all you need is to create an email list and you will soon be smiling all the way to the bank and have a happy and satisfied clientele base.
The more you do not advertise your business online, whether you are selling computers, or food or running a lodge or hotel or a school, or whatever, if your online presence is at zero or very little , then every moment you do that, you are leaving money on the table. Yes you may have a brick and mortar business and so you are just waiting for walk in customers and banking on that to make your business boom, but what you get is mostly frustration because you have not targeted most of your customers that are online and this is where you can get in touch with them in today`s world.
So stop winking at a girl ( or guy) in the dark. STOP LEAVING MONEY ON THE TABLE. Start advertising today.
